Charles Phillips has 20 years, experience in photography. Trained at Hartnell College in forensic photography.
Raised on Family ranches in Central California near Monterey. He was State representative in Wildlife and conservation for 4-H at the Annual National Congress in Chicago, He was awarded top State honors by John Deere Corporation,
As part of earthquake studies under University of California Berkeley involving animals .He observed animal behavior before and after temblors.
He is Certified in Wildland Firefighting and Structural Practices by California Department of Forestry.
Born on St Patrick's day. He is proud of his Native American and Celtic roots. 3/8th Choctaw Native American, Irish ,welsh Scottish.
His photography interest is based in Nature , Landscapes and Western , He enjoys taking news photographs as well.
He has been published multiple times, His photography has been seen all over the world in magazines and on web sites. He has had many photographs published in local papers. photographed Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association.(PRCA) He has served as a photographer for Gold Card Roping event's for the American Cowboys Team Ropers Association.
Special insites in protraying western ranch life gained thru assisting in operation of family ranch near Mariposa in the Sierra Nevada Range of California. Proximity of the family ranch to Yosemite National Park affords familiarity with unique photographic angles and lighting,mountain peaks,waterfalls,meadows and wildlife.
His photographs are presently on exposition in Sierra Artist Gallery in the historic Mining town of Mariposa as well as displayed at the Mariposa Fruit and Nut Company in Mariposa. Mariposa County Agriculture extension office, Bank of America Branch in Oakhurst,Ca.
